USDE

US Dollar Electric is an on-chain accounting token designed for use within the OpenVPP Payments Network. The project is focused on connecting electricity consumption reporting with blockchain-based payment and settlement infrastructure. Within the network, $USDE is intended to be sent and received on the same rails used to report electric consumption down to the device level. At launch, $USDE is limited to use as an accounting token and is not yet positioned as a fully redeemable stablecoin. The long-term objective is for $USDE to support fiat on-ramps and off-ramps and potentially evolve into a dollar-backed stablecoin for electric market activity.
